Fairy Floral canvas for Blank Page Muse Stamps

Hello everyone! Jenn here today sharing my Fairy Floral canvas I created
with some amazing Blank Page Muse Stamps!!

The challenge theme for May at BPM is embossing and I wanted to continue that theme with my second project this month! This little 5X7 canvas was fun! I used many different products and techniques combined to add texture and interest and still spotlight the adorable fairy stamped image!
The Blank Page Muse Stamps used here are:
All of these are available in the online store by clicking the links.
Please see my full supply list at the bottom of this post.

To create this canvas I first coated it with clear gesso and then added texture paste white crackle in areas. I allowed the crackle paste to dry naturally so it would result in more cracking.
I added a cardboard frame and then added some metal embellishments, glass stones, a molded clay clock, and flowers.
I also added some small beads that were died using Colorique ink.
I alternated between colors in purples and pinks mixed with water on a paintbrush drying in between with a heat tool. I added some gel medium to the frame and on a few of the frame edges and sprinkled it with Lindy's embossing powders. The powder was heat seat with a heat tool.
To complete the project I brushed some white gesso over the flowers, added some ultra fine glitter and mini art stones for texture. I stamped the backgrounds and script stamps using black archival ink. The fairy was stamped onto heavy cardstock in black archival ink and then clear embossed and cut out.
This added the final touch and the main focal point. Some splatters of frosty blue DecoArt acrylic and white gesso complete it!
Here is a closer angled view to show the dimension.

I really enjoy using embossing in many ways on my projects! There are so many techniques!

celebrating a new Illustrator!
I did a fun journal page using the Reflections stamp.  I just love this new stamp!! Her facial expression is priceless. I created this journal page by first applying clear gesso and allowing it to dry. I then used a paint and stencil technique by brushing on paint in an area and then laying down a stencil and wiping through it with a damp baby wipe. This creates the pattern. Doing this several times creates a very interesting dimensional background. The stamp was applied with black archival ink, clear embossed and heat set. I added some light blue marker to her eyes and clear embossed them as well as pink marker to her lips and again embossed but this time with an iridescent pink powder. I stamped the Namaste stamp using black archival ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I added a little more texture around the page edges using Rita’s Art Foamie candy stamp. I just lightly inked it with black archival ink and stamped lightly.

Next stop on our hop is over to Jeanne Streiff's blog and see what she created !

Wisdom Journal - Blank Page Muse May Challenge

It is time for another fun challenge over at the Blank Page Muse Stamps blog! This month the theme is embossing any way! This is truly one of my favorite things to work with as far as texture!! The possibilities are endless with embossing powders! For all of the details on the challenge and to view the entire team's inspirational projects click the photo link below!!

For this adorable journal page I used the following supplies:
Blank Page Muse Stamps
Ranger Distress Inks
Ranger Distress Markers
Brown StazOn ink pad
Versamark inkpad
Watercolor Pencils
Adhesive
Watercolor Paper
Clear Embossing Powder
Lindy's Embossing Powder Desert Moon Copper Pine

First I created a background on watercolor paper. Using versamark clear inkpad and the BPM leaves stamps from the set I stamped around the bottom corner. The stamping was then coated with clear embossing powder and heat set.

Distress inks in several colors were added using a sponge applicator over the embossed areas. This technique fills in the negative space with ink and enhances the embossed stamping.

I stamped the owls using Brown versamark inkpad. They were coated in clear embossing powder, heat set, and then colored in with watercolor pencils. They were fussy cut and adhered to the page with an adhesive glue stick.
A quote was added along with some highlighting and edging using distress inks.
Finally, Lindy's embossing powder was added to the lacey outline and to some splatters to add a bit more sparkle. Below are the closer views.

Thanks so much for viewing my post! I hope that you are inspired to enter the challenge at The Blank Page Muse Stamps Blog!
