Magic Canvas - Blank Page Muse Stamps

Hello, and Thank you for visiting my blog today! This is my first post of the year for the newly named Blank Page Muse Stamps (formerly Sin City Stamps). I have created a canvas for the January challenge theme: Turquoise, silver, and sparkle.

The stamps used for this project are as follows:

Click on picture links to be taken to the online store.

First, prepare your surface by applying a layer of heavy white gesso.  Once that is completely dry add a fun stencil with texture paste and let dry.

Next, Add some color using sprays of turquoise and spritzing with water. Dry between colors. I used three shades of sprays and then outlined canvas edges with distress ink.

While your canvas is drying, prepare your flowers and stamped images. Stamp in a coordinating color of turquoise ink and then coat with an iridescent embossing powder and set with a heat tool. Cut out the stamped images you intend to use and set them aside. Next, add sparkle by brushing some glue onto flowers and sprinkling them with a fine glitter in an iridescent white color. Allow the flowers to dry naturally then shake off excess glitter. The frame used in my project was coated with embossing ink and silver embossing powder.
Next, assemble your frame, florals, and stamped images on the dry canvas. Move them around until you are satisfied with the layout.
**TIP** I always take a photo once I complete this step before adhering my embellishments. This gives me a guide to follow.

Now your ready for glue! Adhere embellishments using scortape or glue for flat pieces and use foam dots to lift some of the pieces for a better dimensional look.

On my canvas, I added a few sprays of clear sparkle spray for a little bit more sparkle!

Here are a couple of close-ups that show the details...and the shimmer!
