Beautiful Corrosion

Today I would like to share with you this canvas created for Art Anthology Dream team!

"Beautiful Corrosion"
I love the look of old, worn, weathered, and rusted metals. When I happened upon this group of gold metallic flowers at my craft store I was quickly inspired to create just that! This is the outcome! It was actually very simple and below I have included a Snapguide tutorial how it was done!

In this close up you can see the "clumping" effect that adds to the corrosive look. This is achieved by taking your heat tool to the Art Anthology paint. Remember to do so slowly, just until it starts to bubble a bit. Once it is cool you can go over again until you get the look like!

Please head over to Art Anthology Adventures in Art on facebook and share what you make with us! We love to see your creations too!

As promised here is my tutorial! Check out How to Create Corroded Metal Look With Art Anthology! by Art Anthology on Snapguide.

"Dream Layout"

Today I am sharing a layout I have made for the More Than Words Challenge which is Black and White + 1 and the inspiration word "Dream".
I chose to start with a black background and added white and a touch of teal. I chose a selfie to do this piece. I really liked this challenge and all of the inspiration of the MTW designers!!
I used several great products for this layout including:
Yvonne Blair Designs Stamps for Impression Obsession "Dream in colors that don't exist"
Heavy Black cardstock
Heavy White Cardstock
White Gesso
Many different patterned Black and White Papers (all cut into circles of various sizes)
Paper Straws
Prima and Kaisercraft Flowers
TH Flourish Stencil
Several different Stamps on background with both black and white ink
Texture Paste
Large Wooden Button (Flair)
Gemstone stickies
Nuvo Drops

First.. A look at the layout in its entirety...

And now for some closer views that showcase all of the details of this piece.......
